Morris Cottage, Much Hadham.

This timber framed cottage dates back to the 1500's, and during the time it was the home of William Morris' sister, an extension was added designed by Philip Webb. The timber framed cottage suffered from damp problems leading to rotted structural oak timbers. Through investigations and careful works the problems were explored and a scheme of works created and carried out to restore the residence to it's former glory.
